Prof. Dr. Paul W. Thurner et al. win Bruce Russett Award

We congratulate Prof. Dr. Paul W. Thurner et al. for the Bruce Russett Award for Article of the Year in JCR for 2019 for their article "Network Interdependencies and the Evolution of International Arms Trade". With this award the editorial board of the Journal of Conflict Resolution honours their best article once a year. Prof. Dr. Paul W. Thurner et al. combined a classic model of political economy with a network-based approach to the topic of "arms trade" and were able to prevail over the other articles due to their innovative approach and well-founded new findings.

Wir gratulieren Prof. Dr. Paul W. Thurner et al. zur Auszeichnung ihres Artikels "Network Interdependencies and the Evolution of International Arms Trade" mit dem Bruce Russett Award for Article of the Year in JCR for 2019. Mit dieser Auszeichnung ehrt die Redaktionsleitung des Journal of Conflict Resolution einmal jährlich ihren besten Artikel. Prof. Dr. Paul W. Thurner et al. kombinierten mit Blick auf das Thema "Waffenhandel" ein klassisches Modell politischer Ökonomie mit einem netzwerkorientierten Ansatz und konnten sich aufgrund ihrer innovativen Herangehensweise sowie fundierter neuer Erkenntnisse gegen die anderen Artikel durchsetzen.
